kNOWledge – Not One Word, works on increasing the Knowledge Economic Index (KEI) of India. The Knowledge Economy Index (KEI) takes into account whether the environment is conducive for knowledge to be used effectively for economic development. It is an aggregate index that represents the overall level of development of a country or region towards the Knowledge Economy. The KEI is calculated based on the average of the normalized performance scores of a country or region on all 4 pillars related to the knowledge economy - economic incentive and institutional regime, education and human resources, the innovation system and ICT.

THE BEGINNING
kNOWledge is a company, that was started on the 65th Republic Day of India as a team of fourteen students of J.J. College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy. These fourteen students from various disciplines of engineering came together through the platform provided by SWAYAM – Entrepreneurship Development Cell, JJCET. kNOWledge started as a campus company and now it has extended it's wings by getting registered as a company which aims in taking INDIA a step ahead.
